Robert Green, born in Cuckney in about 1836

I started looking at Robert Green because I have a DNA match with one of his descendants, and because he was born in the same place as my 2 x great grandmother Harriet Green. Although there is no definitive proof, it seems plausible that he was Harriet’s 1st cousin. Robert moved a few miles fromContinue reading “Robert Green, born in Cuckney in about 1836”

Emma’s first husband was Frederick’s brother Thomas Malpass (1840-1877). William Green (1803?-1874) and Mary Bell (1798-1877), both of Worksop

My 3 great grandparent were William Green and Mary Bell, both from Worksop, Nottinghamshire. They married and had their children in Cuckney (Notts), 7 miles south of Worksop, but later returned to Worksop. For William, the census gives various ages, implying birth dates from 1802-1812. 1812 is an outlier though. And his age at deathContinue reading “William Green (1803?-1874) and Mary Bell (1798-1877), both of Worksop”
